You can see the smoke.....

coming from my head. I am furious!!! Of all the lamebrain, stupid, idiotic, disrespectfuly, non-american decisions that are made, in my book, this one is at the top of the list. Here's the story.....
A local young man, Lance Cpl. Chris Fowlkes, age 20, was killed in Afghanistan on September 10, 2009. Yesterday, his body was brought home.
A neighbor of the Fowlkes family wanted to show her support to the family by placing flags along the procession route down the main street in his hometown. Well, someone at Bank of America REMOVED the flags placed in front of their bank saying that it was against corporate policy. WHAT?? Placing a flag in front of a Bank of AMERICA is against policy? I was appalled when I heard this. I bank at Bank of America but will not be there long. They won't notice my piddly money being withdrawn but from the public outcry over this I am not the only one who will be taking their funds elsewhere. I hope the backlash of their decision hits them like a ton of bricks. I could say a lot more but my words would not be nice. My mother taught me that if I didn't have nice things to say that I should say nothing at all.

Oh that is just ignorance at it's best! just another fine example of what this country has turned into! They will sit back and enjoy the security of someone else's son or daughter defending our country and THEIR freedom and then do that? Bank of America...YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES! I know I am ashamed of you for those actions!!!!

I am apalled by the actions of Bank of America. I have been disgusted by the way they run their business for quite awhile now, but this is a new low even for them. I bank at a local credit union and big corporate decisions like this are why I like my safe, honorable local c.u. that reaches out to the community when there is a loss. Thank you for taking the time to alert others to what BOA has done, and thank you for your willingness to no longer support them. I hope others will follow your example. My prayers go out to the family of this fallen hero.

How can they call themselves "Bank of America" when they can't even put the American flag in front of their institution?

Not allowing the flags sound so unreasonable. What is happening to our country?

Good for you!
I am so upset with how things are being handled anymore...they expect us to be good Americans but are taking away every one of our rights...amazing.
Good for you Kathy - hope more people do things like this to show that we aren't standing for thier actions.

There are so many stupid things done in this country in the name of political correctness that simply defy common sense. This young man gave his LIFE! He should be given every honor possible as well as showing respect for our flag. Wish I knew a way to change some of these things.

I agree with you! That is so wrong. What goes up must come down. They will never have my business.
