and Florida, here we come!!! We are leaving Friday for Daytona Beach with a stopover in Jacksonville to visit my Uncle. He has requested that we "bring all the peaches we can fit in the car" so Thursday we will visit our local peach farmer and load up. They will smell so good in the car!!! We take him a load of peaches every year and he keeps just a few for himself and gives away the rest to family, friends and neighbors. I haven't even had a peach this year so I plan to steal a couple out of those baskets for me!! LOL!!
I haven't packed anything yet. I say every year that I won't take as much this time but always pack way more than I need. We have a washer and dryer so it's not like I can't wash clothes if I run out. But I'll still take too much, it's just a habit of mine. Probably the next post will have pics of the ocean and sand and my grandson and granddaughter. First trip for my grandson so it will be fun seeing how he reacts to the sand and water. He has a little cold now so hopefully he will be feeling much better by Friday.
Anybody know of any great shops around Daytona Beach? I used to visit a shop called When Pigs Fly that was about 45 minutes away but she closed up four or five years ago. If you know of any, please let me know. I may go into withdrawals if I don't get my prim shopping fix. LOL!!! Have a great day and I'll see you soon!! Chatty Kathy

I don't know about Daytona but I do know of one in Jacksonville. It's half quilt shop and half gift shop. Her style is definitely prim. Here is the link.....http://www.oldegreencupboard.com/home.html Check out the gallery pictures tab and you will see what I mean. Have fun vacationing!
Have loads of fun!

Cathy - I think you are going to have a grand time even if you don't get to any prim shops...just being with the grandchildren and watching them have fun will be your treats!!!!
Enjoy and have a safe trip.
Karen
Sounds like a fun time. I remember When Pigs Fly opened and it was in several of the country magazines. Too bad it's closed now.
I haven't been in that are for years, so I don't have a clue what you might find there.
But I hope y'all have a great time!
