.......a time for honoring all those who are fighting the battle to defend our freedom and honor our Country. From the bottom of my heart....THANK YOU...
My brother, Kenneth Allen Mason, was one of those who paid the ultimate price in the Vietnam War. Only 20 years old, newly married and so much life to live.
This is a picture taken on September 17, 1968, the day he left the States. I was 12 years old when he left and didn't understand that he may not come home. It has taken a very long time and a lot of tears to grasp the sacrifice that he and so many others made to defend my freedom.
.......a time for honoring all those men and women who have fought and come home. Some to a not so warm welcome and others to a hero's welcome. From the bottom of my heart...THANK YOU...
.......a time for remembering all our fallen soldiers who paid the ultimate price for defending our freedom. God Bless each and every one.

Hey Kathy, thanks for adding me to your blog..I just went on LPS group and saw that you added me so I came on for a visit.
I am so sorry for your losses; your brother when you were so young and missed so much. He was so young, my goodness. :(
And your mom and dad, I don't think anyone ever really stops grieveing for the loss of parents.
I can relate when you say your mother didn't grow 'old' My mom is still with us, but I feel the same about her she's just the same as she always was. She doesn't even look much different lol We are close which I am thankful for.
I didn't mean to get so long, I just wanted to comment, and say hello :)
Take care,
melissa
