Heading home.....

It's vacation time...almost
I haven't packed anything yet. I say every year that I won't take as much this time but always pack way more than I need. We have a washer and dryer so it's not like I can't wash clothes if I run out. But I'll still take too much, it's just a habit of mine. Probably the next post will have pics of the ocean and sand and my grandson and granddaughter. First trip for my grandson so it will be fun seeing how he reacts to the sand and water. He has a little cold now so hopefully he will be feeling much better by Friday.
Anybody know of any great shops around Daytona Beach? I used to visit a shop called When Pigs Fly that was about 45 minutes away but she closed up four or five years ago. If you know of any, please let me know. I may go into withdrawals if I don't get my prim shopping fix. LOL!!! Have a great day and I'll see you soon!! Chatty Kathy

My mailbox was overflowing this week!!
Not only did I get my doll from Maureen, I got a package from my textile swap partner, Judy!! Boy, did she load me up with some wonderful goodies.
I got this great sampler that says “Be it ever so humble there is no place like home”, a dish soap bottle cover, a hankie with crocheting on the corner (hard to see in this picture), a pillow that reads “North, South, East, West, no matter where, home is best” and a beautiful round lace table cover. Oh, and also a hang up air freshener. It was wrapped with tissue and had berry sprigs and a star pick and the sweetest card. Judy, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love every piece!!! Also, a big Thanks to Char for hosting another wonderful swap!! If you don’t join in on her swaps, you are really missing out.

Isn’t she adorable?
Look at this wonderful beauty that I won from Maureen at Sweet Meadows Farm!
Those eyes just melt my heart! Her dress fabric matches my colors perfectly and I just love her. Thank you Maureen! You have been blessed with a God given talent!!! Hugs, Chatty Kathy

Where does the time go?
Also, over these past two weeks my daughter has had a root canal done and this morning she had to go to the emergency room for a kidney stone!! I had to get my grandson and granddaughter ready for day care and it has been a long time since I had to handle two kids and get ready for work myself! LOL!! I probably looked like a chicken with my head cut off running around her house trying to get everything together. I'm getting too old for that. Ha! Ha!
Let's see, what else have I done....oh, I purchased a wireless printer over the weekend. It's been a pain getting it installed. When the installation reaches 96% I keep getting a "fatal error" message. The printer is working so I'm not sure what is not loading. Guess when I try to do something and it doesn't work, I'll know huh?
I have been working on a couple of redos. I'll try to get some pics posted soon. It will probably just be an after pic. When I find something to redo, I get excited and start on it and forget to take a before pic. I saw a dry sink at a yard sale Saturday and I could kick myself for not buying it. Oh well, maybe next time.
I'll be back soon. Miss you all!!!! Chatty Kathy

Let's go shagging!!!!!

My little angel Shelby is ready for her dance!!! She is sooo excited. After shopping Saturday and Sunday, she didn't find any canvas tennis shoes. They were actually told Keds didn't make the white canvas shoe anymore. Didn't know that. So, she found some cute little grey and black with pink trim she will wear. Shelby is still practicing her dance moves but it will surprise me if she dances. We can barely get her to dance for us because she is embarrased!! LOL!!!
Hubby and I went to a local auction on Saturday and I purchased a four board farm table for $62. Here is the before picture....

and here is the after picture....

I am very pleased with how it turned out. My old kitchen table has a butcher block top and off white base with off white chairs. I got it at a good price and have used it for about 15 years so I definitely got my moneys worth but I have been wanting a different table so I took the plunge and decided to redo someone elses. It is so humid here that the stain is taking a while to dry but I will have it in the house before long. For now, I will use my black dining room chairs until I paint my other chairs or find some others I like.
Now, I need to get to work on the textile swap I signed up for. Got a couple of things made but need to do a few more. Hubby is out of town all week so maybe, just maybe, I will get something done.
Take care!! I'll be back soon. Hugs, Chatty Kathy
